Ashleyluvssugar has been installed as the morning line favorite at odds of 6-5 for trainer Peter Eurton. A California-bred son of Game Plan, the four-year-old gelding stepped up to graded stakes competition for the first time last time out with a win in the San Luis Rey Stakes (G2). He has won five of his ten career starts and will be trying to earn his third straight victory. Gary Stevens will be in the irons and they will break from the outside post.
Divine Oath trying to show a form reversal
Second choice at 5-2 on the morning line is Divine Oath for trainer Todd Pletcher. A four-year-old son of Broken Vow, he has won five of his twelve starts and is a three-time graded stakes winner. He has been off the board in all three starts this year against graded stakes company and will be shipping west after a fourth-place finish in the Fort Marcy Stakes (G3). Rafael Bejarano will be aboard and they will break from the rail.
Going Somewhere (BRZ) making United States debut
Also in the field at morning line odds of 7-2 is Going Somewhere (BRZ) for trainer Neil Drysdale. A six-year-old son of Sulamani (IRE), he will be making his North American debut after competing in both his native Brazil where he was a Group 1 winner and France. He has been training steadily at Santa Anita for his first start of the year and will have Mike Smith aboard. They will break from post position four for his first start since October.
