The Woodbine Mile (G1) is coming up Saturday, September 16 at Woodbine Racetrack. The race is one of the top betting horse races of the autumn season, and a key prep for the Breeders’ Cup Mile at Santa Anita this fall. The issue is, Ice Chocolat also had rabbit My Sea Cottage with him in that race, and his pacesetting wasn’t enough to get him all the way there. Once again, he looks like a hit-the-board type.
The best chance for a price in the exotics is betting that the rabbit, My Sea Cottage, hangs around for a piece. He wasn’t disgraced when fourth in the Fourstardave, and he should move forward on the move to a one-turn mile configuration. As the longest price in the field, this gives him upside. Compare that to Shirl’s Speight, better over a two-turn trip, or Lucky Score, who would improve with more early pace.
