On Saturday at Oaklawn Park, the featured race is the $200,000 Honey Bee Stakes. Restricted to three-year-old fillies, the Grade 3 event is a prep race for the Kentucky Oaks (G1) and will be contested at a mile and a sixteenth with a field of six. 
Friday night stakes action March 4 at Delta Downs features the $100,000 Azalea Stakes for three year-old Louisiana-bred fillies, with eight hopefuls set to duke it out seven and a half furlongs under the lights. 
On Sunday at Gulfstream Park, the featured race is the $65,000 Margate Handicap. Restricted to three-year-old fillies, the stakes race has been carded at six and a half furlongs and has drawn a field of eight. 
While not a part of the official Road to the Kentucky Derby qualifying points system, the Grade 2 $200,000 San Vicente February 15 at Gulfstream features at least one serious candidate for The Run for the Roses as the undefeated Breeders’ Cup Juvenile champion Nyquist makes his 2016 debut in the seven furlong event against five rivals. 
The stakes action will continue on Saturday at Tampa Bay Downs with the $150,000 Endeavour Stakes. Scheduled to be run at a mile and a sixteenth on the turf, the Grade 3 event has drawn a field of seven fillies and mares. 
In a rare Tuesday stakes event February 9 at Fair Grounds an overflow field of 15 fillies and mares is signed on to contest the $60,000 Mardi Gras Stakes at five and a half furlongs on the grass. 
At Gulfstream Park on Saturday, the stakes action will continue with the $150,000 Suwannee River Stakes. Restricted to fillies and mares, the Grade 3 event will be contested at a mile and an eighth on the turf and has drawn a field of eight.
