Several familiar names are among the eight entries in the $250,000 Delta Mile November 21 at Delta Downs on the Delta Jackpot undercard. 
On Sunday at Woodbine, the featured race is the $200,000 Bessarabian Stakes. A Grade 2 race for fillies and mares, it will be contested at seven furlongs over the all-weather main track and has drawn a field of seven. 
On Saturday at Gulfstream Park West, the featured race on Sunshine Millions Preview Day is the $100,000 Millions Classic Preview. Scheduled to be run at a mile and a sixteenth on the main track, the race has drawn a field of seven Florida-bred colts and geldings. 
On Saturday at Keeneland, the Breeder’ Cup action will continue with the $2 million Filly and Mare Turf. The Grade 1 will be contested at a mile and three-sixteenths on the turf and has attracted a full field of twelve with two additional listed as also-eligible. 
As is the case with the Kentucky Derby, the Breeders’ Cup post position draw is watched with bated breath by owners and trainers and with careful scrutiny by handicappers. 
Runhappy, a top contender for the Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) which will be held on October 31 at Keeneland, turned in his fifth consecutive bullet workout on Wednesday, completing six furlongs in 1:09.80. 
On Thursday at Keeneland, the featured race is the $100,000 Sycamore Stakes. Carded at a mile and a half on turf, the Grade 3 event has drawn a field of eleven colts and geldings. 
On Saturday at Santa Anita, the track will host the $300,000 Santa Anita Sprint Championship. A qualifying race for the Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1), the Grade 1 event will be run at six furlongs on the main track and has drawn a field of seven. 
The $400,000 Grade 1 Vosburgh September 26 at Belmont Park will feature top Breeders’ Cup Sprint challenger Rockfall against six rivals in a six furlong tilt on the main track.
